About RIGS Alliance
The Regional In-depth Genealogical Studies Alliance (RIGS Alliance) is a partnership which has been formed to direct week-long interactive learning sessions and hands-on research focusing on original documents and manuscripts at regional archives. The workshops will provide opportunities for researchers to gain knowledge and skills related to access, evaluation, and the use of a wider variety of records.
Director, J. Mark Lowe, CGSM, FUGA
Lowe was named the FGS Delegate of the Year in 2000. He is a full-time professional researcher and educator, who formerly served as President of APG, and as an officer for FGS . You can generally find him researching for clients including Who Do You Think You Are?, African American Lives or Biography Channel’s uneXplained. Otherwise with his love for teaching, you will see him at SLIG, IGHR, numerous webinars or at your local society
Lowe is a professional researcher and educator, teaching at SLIG, IGHR & RIGS Alliance, researching for clients, and working on projects like "Who Do You Think You Are?"

Dircdtor, Linda Woodward Geiger, CGSM, CGLSM
Linda Woodward Geiger is a professional historical and genealogical researcher, author, and lecturer. She is an associate of the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG), holding credentials as a Certified Genealogist and as a Certified Genealogical Lecturer. She specializes in federal records of the Southeast, Georgia's state and county records prior to 1900, and Cherokee Heritage. She also specializes in methods for finding elusive ancestors--those mighty brick walls. One of her passions is education and she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others using a wide variety of training methods.
Geiger frequently serves on the staff of the Institute of Genealogical and Historical Research (IGHR) and is the coordinator for course 9, The Five Civilized Tribes: The Records and Where to Find Them, in 2013.
Geiger is on the board of the Georgia Genealogical Society and Friends of the National Archives Southeast Region. She moderates monthly webinars for each organization and serves as their respective webmaster.
